DRM Issue 4 - Great Racing And Southern Hospitality!
| POSTED: 2010-03-07 11:45:00 |

Immokalee kicks off Summit Pro-Am Season
Hot on the heels of the successful season-opening Palm Beach Nitro Jam, IHRA racers headed to Immokalee Regional Raceway for the second half of the Florida swing.
As has been the case for many years, Ralph Hester and his crew at IRR welcomed the fans and competitors with open arms, plenty of great food and hospitality, and of course some first-class racing action.
The Summit Pro-Am season opener also incorporated a Tournament of Champions Qualifying Race, so there were winners all around by the time the dust settled Sunday night.
Read all about the big weekend on the edge of the Everglades in Issue 4 of DRM.
In addition, there’s a great feature article by Susan Wade on Sportsman Super Star Steve Furr, as well as an in-depth look at the “Trinidad Rocket,” Top Dragster standout Sheldon Bissessar of Trinidad and Tobago.
London Dragway is in the Track Feature spotlight this time around, and all of our regular features are included in the latest issue as well. CSI Norwalk presentes a Q&A with John Buening, Larry Crum talks about the Olympics and drag racing in “As The Cookie Crumbles,” there’s another great nostalgia photo from the IHRA archives, and of course IHRA President Aaron Polburn offers his insights and observations of drag racing and the world in general in “The Last Word.”
Read and enjoy!
